About Organizer

SLAITO is the apex body representing Sri Lanka's inbound tourism industry. Established in 1975 as the Association of Group Tour Agents and later reconstituted as SLAITO in 2002, it serves as the industry's voice. SLAITO's objectives include promoting sustainable tourism growth, ensuring excellent visitor experience, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and lobbying for supportive policies.

With 192 fully-fledged and 53 associate members, mostly SMEs, SLAITO plays a key role in private sector forums and is affiliated with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Recently, SLAITO formed an alliance called "One Industry, One Voice" with other associations to collectively address industry issues and seek government intervention.
